How to make Jalapeño Burgers Burgers are one of the most popular Holiday foods and here in Arizona, we like to spice things up a little so Chef Mike from Arizona Public took a traditional American burger recipe and added a Spanish spicy twist. Chef Mike shares this easy Western Jalapeño Burger recipe with you, Enjoy!
Ingredients: (Based on 3 pounds of burger) 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder 1 Tbsp Black Pepper 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper 1 Tsp Ground Cumin 1 Tsp Salt 2 Chopped Jalapeños 1 Chopped Onion 2 Limes (Juice of two limes) 4 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 Egg per one pound of ground meat (Important) Pepperjack cheese slices Ground Beef or Turkey
Directions: In a large bowl, Mix ground beef or turkey with the chopped onion, lime juice, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, ground cumin, salt pepper and chopped jalapeno peppers until well combined then form into patties.. *Optional, Fill the burgers with a slice of pepperjack cheese.
Grill or pan fry the burgers. Top with a slice of pepperjack cheese & guacamole spread or the more traditional ketchup, mustard, pickle & lettuce.
