JConcepts, out to Silence the competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Debuts new 1/8th products at IFMAR World Championships.

JConcepts has been busy for many months developing new product in anticipation for the World Championships. One of the most recognizable items is the new Silencer body made specifically for Ryan Maifield's prototype RC8 buggy.

A brand-new, ground up , design, the Silencer has new elements created for the highest speed circuits. A narrowed, Finisher stance cockpit allows more fuel tank access a smoother high-speed transition and increased flow around the engine heat-sink. A deep recess around the heat-sink area with dual channeling out the rear provides air escape along with rear-end stability.
The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tires. The extended runner features are placed on the rear-end of the body enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration.

The main pods are heavily chamfered and a more heat-shrink design over the pipe, fuel tank and electrical / linkage side make up the main pods. The end result has the body looking extremely low-profile with heavy JConcepts edginess and appeal. The Silencer is capped off with a cock-pit "shark fin" for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness.

Capping off the aero package at the IFMAR World Championships for JConcepts is a brand new Finnisher 1/8th buggy / truck wing. A radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design the new wing includes elements and features never seen before in 1/8th Off-Road. An option gurney or winglet is easily added to the wing with one simple 3x8mm screw. The wing can be run stock with a small winglet which provides some edge stability and light deflection. The included optional 2-piece gurney slides in through the bottom on both sides adding that small vertical wall at the rear providing that last bit of tuning ability on dusty and low grip conditions. Mounting the wing comes easy with pre-dimpled and marked locations on the bottom for 6 popular 1/8th buggies. Ream or drill to vehicle specification and the Finnisher drops right on. Polish off the wing with an included die-cut decal / wrap sheet and the Finnisher is a complete stunner.

The Metrix tire being used here in Argentina is a brand-new tire by JConcepts. Utilizing a stacked center tread based around the size of the successful Crossbow tire, the Metrix unleashes some serious forward bite on the dusty and loose conditions. The staggered and directional Bar Code inspired sidewall treatment offers a less grabby initial steering response but a balanced feel for more driver confidence on rutted, bumpy and wavy deteriorating track sections. The Metrix tire is meant to be driven hard while reacting softly to catchy sections providing a confidence inspiring gripping force to a drivers arsenal of tires.

JConcepts unloads in Argentina with a fresh assortment of accessories aimed at redefining vehicle ascetics, tire performance while introducing the freshest aero trends in the industry. Silencing the Competition.
