Uncle Steve fished at the William B. Umstead State Park, Glenwood Avenue section, Raleigh, NC for the first time.

No fish were biting on the east side of the lake. So Uncle Steve decided to fish below the dam spillway in Sycamore Creek at the first "crook" in the creek.

In the video Uncle Steve finally catches a catfish after a battle of "wits" for 45 minutes.

The next day and day after that, Uncle Steve fished near by and now believes that his worms were being eaten by bream fishes which are plentiful. Very likely the catfish was a "late passer-by."

Location of fishing spot: N 35.869525, W 78.761648.
