The first of I believe 3 duets they recorded together in 1946.

Date is 13 June.

With the Victor Orchestra, conducted by Jean Paul Morel.

Both singers are in their respective primes, and the result is spectacular. Sure Peerce wasn't the ideal voice for Alvaro in the house but he does an excellent job singing the role in this commercial studio recording, one of the best I've heard actually. Not much to be said about Warren, except that I think he was the greatest Verdi baritone ever.

Will post the 'Invano Alvaro' duet later.
