It’sa me… the unexpected combination of visual elements


We can look at Mario, and his 30+ year series of ultra-beloved games and then also look at surrealist visual art and say…hmmm… these things share some similarities! But what if we go a little deeper? And ask if there are any characteristics that go beyond the purely cosmetic–from history, to context, to impact–that might make Mario more, or a different kind of, surrealist masterpiece? Lets’a go!
