This afternoon on the House floor, Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-02), a member of the House Budget Committee, spoke of his opposition to the President's decision to include in his budget proposal a change in how benefits are calculated for Social Security recipients, also known as a chained CPI. Pocan spoke specifically on how a chained CPI could affect his 84-year old mother, who lives in Wisconsin, and relies on her Social Security check each month.
