On June 23, 2013 the Common Chords Concert for Peace and Unity was held at Kesher Zion Synagogue offering people from all races, religions and ethnic backgrounds a safe harbor to gather together and enjoy a concert of music and the peace of friendship and light. Not a religious or political gathering, the Common Chords concert was simply a physical manifestation demonstrating that through music and culture, we all have more in common than not and we can celebrate our universal sameness in peace and harmony. This clip features the Cephus Sisters as the singing group "Color Blind" with sitarist, guitarist, vocalist Dave Mell and "East Side" Dave Kline, one of the event organizers, on guitar and vocals, paying tribute to the immortal George Harrison by way of his song "Here Comes the Sun." It takes more effort and energy to make light than to extinguish it. One of the messages of the concert was for people to make a positive choice to create and be a source of light rather than ignore or succumb to darkness.
