To really do this one right, it needs 1920s jazz-style drumming (brush, rim, and cymbals), muted trombone, banjo rather than guitar. And some flapper girls doing the Charleston. But this guitar-only version is fun too.
Global Heartwarming
(fast jazz style, flatpick, capo +1)
C A7 D G C
The globe gets a little hotter when I get a glimpse of you
C A7 D G C
The earth gets a little colder when our time is through
C C7
Don't tell me they fudged the data, or botched the plot
F Ab6
All I'm talking about is you - that's hot and so
C A7 D7 G C
The globe gets a little hotterwith every glimpse of you
The earth gets a little warmer, whenever I see your face
Your smile, turned in my direction makes it a warmer place
Don't know about urban heating, or C02
I just know about the heat... I get from you and
the earth gets a little warmer, whenever I see your face
(instrumental break)
My heart feels medieval warming, whenever you turn my way
But then there's a Little Ice Age, when we're not okay
Don't mention melting glaciers, or polar bears
All that matters is the warmth we share and that
The globe, gets a little hotter, each time you hear this song
- so go buy some carbon credits!
Just because you heard this song.

[My goal is to keep doing four songs a month. Eventually I'll spend some time polishing and doing "studio" versions of the best ones to make an album. Tech notes: iMovie, macBook camera, Apogee One sound.]
