Take the Search Out of Research:
Valuable Technology Tools in Libraries

Student-centered technologies for teaching an learning will be showcased. These tools could help instructors disseminate content effectively and engage students, regardless of their learning style. More specifically, the presenters will go over LibGuides, a web 2.0 tool that allows faculty members to provide library resources, where students can easily find research information and interact with librarians; The University/College Library Digital Archives, where users can access digitally, local history materials that could be utilized in a variety of disciplines (history, education, sociology, public history, and education administration, among others); and how to use mobile and interactive Web technologies to disseminate content and promote critical thinking. Tools used in research to capture lectures, as well as mind mapping, will be showcased.
