The University of Georgia Student Government Association hosted a panel discussion celebrating the university's legacy as a land-grant university. State Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black, UGA ROTC commander Lt. Col. Kurt Felpel, Georgia 4-H Director Arch Smith, Scott Angle, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Brahm Verma, a faculty member from the department of biological and agricultural engineering, participated in a panel discussion on the impact of UGA's mission as a land-grant university. The discussion was moderated by Bob Izlar, director of the UGA Center for Forest Business at the Warnell School of Forest and Natural Resources.
