CELEBRITY TALK in association with Dobell Prize for Drawing 2009
Richard Glover, 702 ABC Sydney Drive presenter
Richard has just published a thought-provoking memoir where he describes how he and his friend Philip built a mud brick house in the bush on weekends. He talks about how this huge and exhausting undertaking - it took eight years simply to make the bricks - all began with drawings on beer coasters. His talk examines what it means to be a man, the nature of male friendships, improvised housebuilding techniques, and the extraordinary accomplishment of making something with your own hands from your own drawings.
