National Grid are renewing their overhead power lines over the A47 and A11 which has been built in 1960. They have done a lot of work and planning into this, covering a lot of area across Norfolk, from Walpole Substation (near Wisbech) to Norwich Main Substation, covering 84km long and carries 400,000 volt (400Kv) of electricity.
This is one of the area where they have built the scaffolding and safety nets to allow them to do the work. This is due to start on July 8th and will last 6 weeks (of traffic chaos, if I may add) including some lane closure on the A47.
