I do not mean to offend anyone, BUT to all of you who like to listen to the sound of their own voice, you need to learn a little bit of history. This "movie" was based on the Japanese occupation in china in the very early 1900's. Karate Do did not even exist in Japan as Funakoshi introduced it until the middle to late 1920's. So to all of you smart people, Ip Man fought against a Japanese General who knew ONLY a form of Jiu Jitsu or Judo NOT Karate Do.

karate orignaly is fromwhite crane kungfu, japan is the one who copied china to create karate, i think also, kickboxing, shorin-ji kempo. japan did create laido, kendo, ninjutsu, judo and jujutsu on their own.

no style is weak it's whoever uses the style like if someone is really good at kickboxing they could probably beat someone who knows kung fu

Honestly, this movie is horrible. I cannot STAND fake martial art films, especially when it tries too hard to be real. No, no, no, no, no, Karate beats wing chun. It's more practical, more versatile, and more widespread. Practice wing chun, only if you want to be a victim. Otherwise, do what every smart person does, and avoid it.
