Words and music by Ken Tanaka. The song is an "enka", a kind of traditional Japanese folk song. It's kind of hard to write, so I only have one verse so far. Sorry.
In this video Ken Tanaka returns to Japan and stays in Shinjuku's Kabukichoo neighborhood. You can see interviews with hosts and hostesses and a nice park in Shinjuku.

This is the red light district and Tokyo people often refer to it as the most dangerous part of Tokyo. It's not at all dangerous compared to other countries though. I did meets someone recently who was mugged in Kabukicho though. :(

The host clubs and hostess bars, or cabaret clubs, feature male and female hosts who drink and talk with their clients. This is a tradition in many Asian countries, but foreign visitors from Europe and the US often find it very strange.
You can learn more about this by watching my
"why men go to hostess clubs" video. If you are learning Japanese, hopefully the japanese interview in this video will help improve your language skills.
