On Sunday, May 16, 2010, John Ellison a renowned collector of Rolls Royce and other fine motorcars opened the doors to his private collection in San Diego for a special viewing to members of the Rolls Royce Owners Club San Diego Region, the Rolls Royce Owners' Club Southern California Region and the Bentley Drivers Club Western USA Region. The memorable day began at Torrey Pine with a motorcycle police escorted scenic drive through the stunning vistas and historic sights of La Jolla. A procession of 37 magnificent Rolls Royces and Bentleys owned by club members followed John as he lead a leisurely tour that weaved its way along the streets and winding lanes of La Jolla. The tour provided spectacular views of the stunning cliffs and picturesque beaches much to the appreciation of those in the cars, and to the appreciation of the many unsuspecting bystanders who paused to marvel at this impromptu one-of-a-kind "RRolling" tribute to automotive craftsmanship.
