This is a theoretical irrigation system for a drought-prone country. If there is a problem of corrosion in metal water gates, wooden gates composed of several small wooden boards (installed piece by piece through a slit in both of the opposite sides of the concrete walls of the gated water passage) may also be used as a substitute or emergency blockade. Also, consider always making water reservoir from any source.

Additional Informations For The Theoretical Irrigation System:
1. The size or volume of the main canal and the scale or distribution of the lines of the main canal in the country depends on the quantity of water needed in particular places.
2. If the main canal is bigger or extremely wide, it needs to have several or many gated water passages because one big gate can hardly open because of the great weight of the gate and water.
3. For safety and other purposes, gated water passages shall be installed in many reasonable places along the main canal to prevent too much water from going to the terrain and for faster isolation of the damaged part of the main canal in case of dike-collapse and washout. The top of the gated water passages may also serve as bridges for transportation (It is better to make a gated water passage than to make a bridge because of bottom-line economic and durability advantages.).

The number of gated water outlets from the main canal that goes straight to the desalinating systems depends on the quantity of water needed in a particular area (There is no need to desalinate the seawater that goes to the salicornia and mangrove. The said number of gated water passages may be increased if the needed amount of water in a particular area is increased.
5. Modular pumping system can be applied anywhere in the whole country if needed. The seawater can climb the mountains through the modular pumping system.
6. The main canal is designed to always retain water at the middle level (to serve as a reservoir to make sure that there is always water everywhere). If the minimum level of the main canal is higher than or equal to the the terrain or canal at the terrain, a drain that can be closed or sealed and can be locked shall be installed to drain the water during maintenance (The purpose of locking the drain is to ensure that nobody will unfairly use water.).
7. In case of flood, water can go or be pumped into the main canal and goes to the sea through the water gates towards the sea.
8. There shall be outlets at the maximum water levels of the dikes that goes to reservoirs to prevent overflows or dike-collapse-and-washout.
9. Consider making underground siphons in the lowest terrain levels as segments of the main canals to make the surface as an escape for water in case of washouts of the main canal or sudden exessive water. Study all other possible accidents and make the best preventive actions.

Consider the formation of a permanent parliament-like body composed of scientists, engineers, technicians, doctors, philosophers, mathematicians, and other brilliant people to enable the country to build her own power plants, generators, motors to run water pumps, steelworks, heavy equipments, and other things.
