"For the sake of your poor old dad, leave the door open 3 inches."

Like the rest of the world, I'm totally obsessed with Stranger Things & once season 3 came out I knew I had to do a painting based on it.
I've recently been fascinated with the way watercolor & ink looks together, so I decided to take a crack at it. This painting was drawn out with a Micron pen, the background was done with gouache, & Eleven & Hopper were painted over with watercolor. I mostly used Holbein and Windsor & Newton gouache paints & QoR Watercolor paints. The paper I used was a 12x16 block of Cold Press watercolor paper from Dick Blick.

Also I apparently forgot to press record when I was painting Hopper's fabulous Hawaiian shirt, so there's no video of that part :(
