Rode my Catrike Expedition on Highway 190 into Furnace Creek. The ride was about 25 miles--about 5 miles uphill and 20 miles downhill into the valley. The ride began above 3000 foot elevation to the Furnace Creek an elevation of -181 feet. The speeds during the ride were as slow as 4.5 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour during part of the 20 mile downhill ride. The road was narrow and smooth. Most of the motorists respected my space and gave me plenty of room. There was a lot to pay attention to during the ride. The braking was very sensitive for brake steer at the higher speeds. I thank my wife for being the pit crew and lead/follow car to add to my safety. Good thing she didn't run over me. This was an E-Ticket Toad ride...a lot of fun.
