The process of picking the country's next election management team has come under sharp focus yet again after Eldoret North MP William Ruto called for a repeat of the selection process conducted by the IEBC Selection Panel. This, he says should be repeated if the panel fails to explain how it arrived at the 44 shortlisted candidates expected to attend interviews later this month. Ruto joins a growing list of politicians who have made their views known in what is shaping up to be a much polarised debate on the selection of the next batch of electoral commissioners. But Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth has cautioned against interference in the process saying that only the most competent persons should make it into the final shortlist.
