A battle between The Spirit of Kerbin, and her sister-ship The Vulture Kerbal Space Program 0.18.4 - NO MODS, ALL STOCK PARTS
Spiritwolf's new capital ship division has regained credibility after the recent 'Shroud Fiasco' due to the success of KSS Spirit of Kerbin - a huge Harbinger class carrier. Large enough to house a full compliment of fighters yet mobile enough to deploy anywhere.
Mission Brief: The Prototype Vulture's crew has defected to the Hanland Corp. before the ship could be effectively decommissioned. Money, power, blackmail, whatever the motivation, this situation must be rectified immediately before Hanland can resupply her and turn it against us. The Vulture is currently armed with a single Mk1 Mosquito, and a harmless ED-series astro droid, so shouldn't present a real problem. Launch fighters, disable the enemy carrier, take the traitors in to custody. Nice and clean, and by the numbers.
Foot note: The Battle of Vulture's Drift is a 20 minute edit (by far my longest video and as you know, I try to keep my KSP bite-sized) taken from several hours of footage. Keeping fleet coherency and switching between different targets requires far more micro-management than is shown here.. Again, I ask for your patience with the lag. It is far worse at the beginning of this video than at the end at least.. Very soon I will be returning to more modest builds and pretty graphics.
Press release 103: "ED409 would never have intentionally rammed a manned vessel. He had been reprogrammed by evil and desperate Kerbals and had no control over his actions. Spiritwolf ensures the public that the ED-series astro droids are perfectly safe and reliable."
