Backhand push-ups are an advanced push-up variation that requires great flexibility and strength in the wrists. By developing strength through a full ROM, this is a phenomenal exercise to prevent any future injury to the wrists (read: prehab or structural hygiene). Too hard or painful? See below for some progressions.

Beginner progression: Perform backhand push-ups on your knees.
Intermediate progression: Perform backhand wrist push-ups on the backs of your hands without ever switching to your fists.
