Toronto label nice+smooth ultramedia are pleased to introduce their second single for veteran Hungarian artist Zoltan Gal aka ICR. His release earlier this year, The Moments I Ruined [NICE0045] was a top techno track for adventurous DJs around the world, a solid slice of musical originality.
The new record brings the tempo back a bit, and the mood softens with the glistening keys of Do You Remember. The beats come in solid for the Herbert-esque laid back prose of She Leaves, with a perfect deep house flavour and quirky glitchy beats that will satisfy the most demanding disco connoisseurs. Check the electro-deep remix from fellow Budapest producer Bal5000.
Here is some high praise of the last single The Moments I Ruined [NICE0045] from top tastemakers and djs:
Derek Plaslaiko - LOVING Come Early Or Dont Come Anyway Onionz - Feelin this! DJ Ingo (107.4 BOP FM) - This has definitely struck a chord in me. Come Early is superb. Velanche (Urban Landscapes Radioshow) - Some pretty tripped-out sounds. This is music to my ears. TJ Norris (Igloo Magazine) - Fueled by piss and vinegar The Moments I Ruined has a passionate premise by way of its salacious beats. Its upbeat and fun with a dramatic pastiche. Lukasz Napora (Polish Radio 4 / Audioriver Festival) - Wow! These tracks sound really different, and I rarely give 5 out of 5 stars. DJ Bonehead (Heads Up / Sundada) - Love the dark vibes of the SYNUS0006 Remix! DJ Mozaic (Travieso) - Deep and cerebral Good stuff!
Recent releases on Chi Recordings, Orson, Glack Audio, Sonorous Music and Fokuz as well as a high profile remix for Howie B. have made ICR an artist to keep your eyes on. Released by: nice+smooth ultramedia Release/catalogue number: NICE0047 Release date: Jun 26, 2012 ISRC: CA-N29-12-00303
