Parents are a child's first teachers. The habits that we help our children form will last a lifetime, shaping their success in school, at work, and in the community. But which are the most important of the many skills they will need? And how can families help children practice those things, with everything else they have to do?
This two-part video has some answers. Here, in Part 2, we focus on how parents can help their kids with regard to motivation and challenge, keeping at it, curiosity and resourcefulness, and self -confidence. Each video includes a discussion of the topic (e.g., motivation and challenge), one-minute video clips of students talking about the topic, facts, and exercises for parents to do as part of a workshop.
