This is a presentation of the infamous Northwoods Document, highlighting relevant excerpts. The Northwoods Document was prepared by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and passed on to Secretary of Defense McNamara for approval. It outlined detailed plans and scenarios that could be orchestrated by the US military to create pretext for military intervention in Cuba. It called for "positive actions" such as faked hijackings of civil aircraft and injuring and murdering Cuban refugees. It is rumored that President Kennedy put a stop to its implementation personally. Kennedy removed General Lyman Lemnitzer as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff soon after. Lemnitzer became Supreme Allied Commander of NATO the following January. This document is an extremely significant window into the mind-set of military officials trying to advance an agenda. It remained classified for 35 years. We urge that anyone interested in the truth about recent world events takes the time to read these excerpts and consider their meaning.
