In 2014, the University of South Carolina was awarded a professional development grant from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education under the auspices of the Improving Teacher Quality Higher Education Grant Program. The two year project was led by the USC College of Education with partnerships in the USC College of Arts and Science and the USC School of Medicine Ultrasound Institute. Twenty middle and high school science teachers participated in the project to expand their knowledge in areas such as genetics and to develop innovative approaches to teaching life sciences. Thoughts about their experiences in ultrasound are shared in this video.
