L-com Global Connectivity (http://www.L-com.com) installs an outdoor WiFi booster.

Today we are installing a Hyperlink brand outdoor WiFi booster from L-com. This WiFi signal booster is very easy to install and features rugged, cast aluminum construction, easy to read transmit and receive LEDs and Active Power Control which automatically adjusts the booster's gain to provide a constant output power regardless of cable length.

Step 1
First attach the WiFi booster to a mast using the supplied hardware. To prevent water from entering the booster, the connectors must be facing down. Failure to do so may damage the amplifier and void the warranty. For best performance the booster should be located as close to the antenna as possible.

Step 2
Next connect a WiFi antenna to the WiFi booster port labeled "Antenna".

Step 3
Now connect the supplied DC injector's output labeled "Amplifier" to the WiFi booster input labeled "Radio". The DC Injector needs to be installed indoors or in a weatherproof enclosure. It is not intended for outdoor use.

Step 4
Connect a WiFi Access point or WiFi Router to the DC injector input labeled "Radio".

Step 5
Next plug the supplied AC adapter into the DC injector's DC power jack and then into an AC wall outlet.

Setup is now complete. The LEDs will flash on the WiFi booster indicating transmitting and receiving activity. Additionally, the DC injector's LEDs will light to indicate power and transmit activity.

Remember to leave drip loops on the coax cables that are connected to the WiFi booster and for maximum protection we recommend the use of moldable or self healing weatherproof tape on the amplifiers connecters after the cables are installed. L-com also recommends the use of coaxial lightning protectors which are critical for outdoor wireless installations.

L-com offers a complete range of WiFi signal boosters for indoor and outdoor applications including WLAN, WISP, SCADA, and Public Wireless Hotspots. Frequencies supported range from 900 MHz to 5.8 GHz.
