On Monday morning outside Fort Hood, five protestors took it upon themselves to blockade a public street, used for mass military deployments, and halted the buses for just ten seconds. Despite the fact that the Iraq war isn't over and the war in Afghanistan has become the longest in US history, protesters have disappeared compared to the thousands or even millions at the start of the Iraq war, and especially since the days of Vietnam. Dolores Huerta, tireless activist and co-founder of United Farm Workers of America with Cesar Chavez, explains a time when people really felt like they could make a difference.
