Song: Superhuman God
Album: Into Submission
Year: 2001

Review: Fuzzed out rock in good form for starters. These Swedes always seem to pull tricks seamlessly out of their sleeves... At first the simple riffs threw me off, but the more I listen the more I liked... Psychedelic lead guitar, pounding rhythms... If you have heard Astroqueen then you know what I mean. This latest "Into Submission" is full of 70's era classic blues/soul roots...Sabbath, Mountain, Pink Floyd are all in there somewhere. Kyuss has to be a little influence here...desert. Other bands that come to mind are Mammoth Volume and Dozer (ironically)...It's consistently good all the way through and chugs along at a good pace, never too much too soon, just the right amount. The vocals are right out front and are full on open blues based Ozzy esque vox for sure. Gotta give props for belting out these numbers. The guitar and band in general seem to flow well with one another and the tight riff are indeed tight, the harmonies between guitar (overdubs?) and bass, and how they seem to grow away from on another and then come together in unison...well planned out moves, time tempo changes...not math wizards, but more laid back with their changes
