New Jersey Conservation Foundation's Franklin Parker Preserve in the Pine Barrens offers viewing platforms that are especially good for bird watching. The preserve was formerly a cranberry farm, and the old bogs attract many birds, including bald eagles and tundra swans. The platforms have been built atop former pump houses.
