September is National Preparedness Month. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius recognizes the hard work that is being done by HHS to prepare for unforeseen events, natural disasters and outbreaks. HHS is working with state and local governments, healthcare providers and the private sector to improve readiness for communities and make sure they are prepared.
