Then I show the "come with me" task which is used to cause the horse to always have it's attention on you incase you walk away. You don't want your horse go to sleep on you unless you tell it to! So if you are moving around you always want your horse ready to move with you. The "come with me" task should only be taught after the horse can lead softly so the horse doesn't get the idea it has to wait for pressure to come on the halter before it moves off. This exercise is done to keep the horse attentive & you throw energy out towards the back of the horse ONLY IF IT DOESN'T COME WITH YOU INSTANTLY OR RUNS INTO THE HALTER BY NOT MOVING FORWARD IMMEDIATELY!
