Marcus Barber is a Strategic Futurist and one of Australasia's top Value Systems specialists, assisting clients with advanced strategic thinking and innovation processes. He holds a Masters degree in Strategic Foresight and also has training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Marcus spoke at the Reinventing Progress conference in Cairns on April 17th 2012, facilitating a workshop on strategic planning for a sustainable future.

His skills are utilised by a long list of clients including Telstra, Victoria Police, Gold Coast Water, General Motors, Fosters Australia, the Australian Sports Commission, Ernst and Young, ABF Singapore, and Queensland Rail to name a few.

Marcus was the founder of the Australian Strategic Planning Institute, was an advisory board member of the Australian Bill of Rights Initiative and is part of the Lifeboat Foundation's Futures advisory Board. Marcus has been published in a number of Journals around the world, is often interviewed for articles in newspapers and magazines and is a regular contributor to Australasia's leading innovation magazine 'Fast Thinking'

In the past few years he has spoken at the UNESCO 'Committing Universities to Sustainability' conference in Austria and the 'World Futures Conference' in Vancouver along with many others around Australia, always with an eye on emerging issues and options for responses.
