With total sorrow now... we were so lucky to have lived and experienced George Michael's songs when they came out in their time. We had such amazing recording artists, songwriting storytellers of OUR stories, to match our lives, what we were going through, our hopes, dreams, heartbreaks, adversities, and so on. George was there, to sing our songs, to us, for us. I will miss him and his smile and musical soul.

Thank you George. Thank you.

Video footage is from a VHS direct to DVDR Deck recording in HiFi stereo from a GM VHS tape released in around '90. I edited this on the fly very roughly, nothing special, just using QuickTime 7 Pro and a screen capturing app and the final video was saved in DV format which to maintain quality which resulted in a 2GB file, too long to upload. So I exported the video again with H.264 compression saved for "computer" which ended up being a nice 200+MB video file. Little blurry, but if you want to see the full video, you can either search for the out of print VHS tape which I highly recommend OR we can trade for any rare GM live or compilation vids.

The the actual video was originally from MTV's Rockumentary series and then taken by the record company and made into a special documentary style video with interviews and history on George's career up until that point.

Source was the UK South Bankshow with George Michael presented by Melvyn Bragg.

What's interesting about the video is that it's in the style of how the "Classic Albums" video series would also be with the recording artist(s) discussing over the mixing board the songs, fading in tracks, explaining the ideas behind the songs, very fascinating and cool insight into George's recording studio ability.

These two songs and sequences are my most favorite as they are also my all time favorite Yog songs. I haven't seen much on YouTube as far as clips from that video releases, so this is my contribution to all you GM fans!

I really hope that Sony will release this as part of a future Listen Without Prejudice remaster as additional DVD, I think that would be great, much like how they are releasing the Faith remastered box set with videos and interview discs.

And finally, this serves as a bit of a small tribute to George as he goes through a rough period yet again. I think the guy is extremely smart and I do know he will get through it and come out again a renewed and inspired man.

Thanks for watching, please feel free to save it, share it!

Where do I begin. I did this short tribute for George, just a simple little on the fly video edit because George was always a huge favorite of mine, an artist that spoke to me as I was coming of age. These two songs are the most favorite of mine, the ones that hit my soul to the core, they …defined me. How could it be? But it is. And to see him create it, well I had to just do this edit as a tribute from one of his old VHS tapes I had in my collection. George Michael helped me mature and view the world from a better place. A kind of role model in the late 80s, early 90s. An alternate to Prince in that he seemed a bit more grounded, more introspective and his message so universal and clear. And here we are... at his Last Christmas. I can't believe another great is gone. George. I was just thinking of him yesterday very intensely, looking up news, anything on him. I was concerned, depressed. Sad. Strange feeling this holiday. Then 'Wendileona' my lady, this is her account, we share it, also was talking about George with her dad, in WeHo, after listening deeply to 'Last Christmas' a little more deeply than normal and then the story breaks half an hour later and she was a mess. I know that this video will drive many of you to tears, as it has me now. This song is going to break my heart all over again, over and over again. Always in our minds and hearts. I hope this humble video edit will fill your hearts with love and appreciation for George. He was much deeper than what the press and mainstream pop culture presented him as. Thanks for viewing and your tribute comments. And thank you George for such wonderful gifts. I’ll miss him. We loved him. .::Gary & Wendy

I was only ten when this album came out, and remember I was disappointed that it was nothing like the Faith album that I loved so much. But it only took one or three more listens to make me love it just as much, if not more. Looking back, it's weird that I'd like such a mature album at ten years old. This song puts me right back there, skipping school cause I'd get teased a lot, having a blast home alone and digging George.

This one really hurts. I have loved him since the beginning and it feels like I have lost a dear friend. His voice was phenomenal and his music, pure magic. What a tragedy. Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and all of the other GM super fans out there! Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us <3

i swear he should just stayed with that Procul Harum organ/folky guitar meets backbeat sound for the whole record ,it sets his voice well. He shoulda of went in this more album oriented rock vibe moving fwd . He tried initially but Sony didn't allow such growth. shameful.
