Nomenclature of saturated hydrocarbons (straight chain & branched chain)
To denote straight chain organic compunds ‘n-‘ is used before name whereas ‘iso’, ‘tert’ & ‘ ‘neo’ if used shows that hydrocarbon is branched and also gives the position of branch.
