This is a prototype of dynamic infestation technology for Natural Selection 2. In this video, infestation geometry is procedurally generated over a standard Half-Life 2 BSP level without any additional work from the level designer. The infestation surface is rendered using normal mapping with Phong illumination.
We're investigating this technology as one of the key new elements for Natural Selection 2.
