(Part 1 of 5) "The Gospel Driven Life" by Dr. Michael Horton from The Gospel Driven Life Conference hosted by Westminister Seminary California.
The Gospel Driven Life Conference: Dr. W. Robert Godfrey, Dr. Michael S. Horton, and Dr. R. Scott Clark were featured speakers, along with Dr. R. C. Sproul, at "The Gospel-Driven Life: Growing in Holiness by Living in Union with Christ" conference. This conference is based on Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Many today think the Gospel is the message that "gets me saved." As a result, the Gospel is misunderstood as good news only for unbelievers, while believers proceed to live out the Christian life in their own strength and merit. This conference explores how the Gospel is good news for Christians, too, and why the person and work of Christ is the basis not only for the Christians salvation but also for his life of sanctification. The Gospel-Driven Life from beginning to end is lived by grace through faith in Christ alone.
