Steve Hansen is a Sacramento City Councilmember for District 4 - Downtown Sacramento & Midtown.

We talk all things Sacramento: the recent pride parade, as well as
local history and planning, and we talk about how Steve’s passion for public service is rooted in his modest upbringing and his own personal experience relying on the social safety net.

Finally we discuss the tough issues facing Sacramento today: housing and homelessness, revitalization of downtown, as well as law enforcement’s relationship with the African community, strong mayor initiative, measure U, and much much more.

Thank you to Councilmember Hansen for coming on the show to share his personal experiences and for keeping it real and having a substantive, unscripted conversation on our most pressing issues.
