Watch as Canadian children send a welcome message to Syrian refugees resettling in Canada.

We have been collecting messages and giving them to refugees through our local partners.
Use the hashtag #CanadiansWelcome and we'll pass your notes along to them!

25,000 Syrian refugees resettled in Canada between November 2015 and February 2016. Since then we have continued to welcome refugees to Canada.

Millions of people have been impacted by the ongoing crisis in Syria, which began in 2011. Many people have been displaced and were forced to flee their homes in search of safety. World Vision Canada is committed to helping those impacted by the crisis in Syria.

World Vision Canada is working to:

• Distribute lifesaving supplies like food, water, and hygiene kits

• Establish child-friendly spaces to help children deal with trauma, access counseling, and attend remedial classes to catch up on missed school

• Ensure Syrian children and families can buy food, hygiene items, and other essentials

• Improve water systems and sanitary facilities in schools so students can enjoy clean water and a healthier environment
