There is a very good reason why the leaders of the Confederate Tea Party need to revise Slavery (and the fact that it was the reason for the Civil war) out of American History... so Americans won't see it happening again. For instance, if Americans got more than 30 pages on Slavery they would recognize the voluminous calls for secession in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Vermont, and a number of other States, as history repeating itself on the path to Civil War.

Sons of the Confederate like Pat Buchanan won't admit the critical importance of slavery and the foundational principle of White superiority in an attempt to conceal their real beliefs, but the original Confederate secessionists weren't as timid about their motivations: Above all else, slavery was paramount in their belief system and was central to their renunciation of the Union. In 1861 after the secession of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas (and less than three weeks after the inauguration of President Lincoln), Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens declared the following in his Cornerstone speech: - The Second Civil War: http://secondcivilwar.wordpress.com/

--- Original Description ---

There is no understanding or acceptance of the institutionalized racism problem in a country descended from Slavery and Genocide. People in this country are raised with foundational racist beliefs, and the easiest thing to do in a country that is denying its own racism is to deny your own racism. You'll get a boat load of sympathetic individuals who are as equally in denial as you are. If you're interested in facing this cornerstone of American reality, I spend a great deal of time defining it. The following seven writings (in the order listed) detail the pivotal racial incidents that have gone ignored or intentionally forgotten since the image of Barack Obama began threatening the image of "White Rule" in this country.
