Two more short poems by Ogden Nash and two by Dorothy Parker

First, the Parker

I like to have a martini,
Two at the very most -
At three I'm under the table,
At four, I'm under the host!

Re'sume'

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

And Ogden Nash:

The Firefly

The firefly's flame is something for which science has no name
I can think of nothing eerier
Than flying around with an unidentified glow on a person's posterior.

The Guppy

Whales have calves,
Cats have kittens,
Bears have cubs,
Bats have bittens,
Swans have cygnets,
Seals have puppies,
But guppies just have little guppies.
