TACKLING HUNGER - At the Regent Park Community Food Centre the staff and volunteers are tackling hunger in new ways. While the RPCFC staff do encourage people to donate to food banks, they also urge the public to explore the bigger picture:
Why is there widespread hunger in the first place?
What needs to be done in terms of policy to fix the causes of hunger?

The 2014 Hunger Report from the Ontario Association of Food Banks states that there is a record number of new households that use food banks.

Also covered is the invitation for the public to join the CBC's Food Bank drive called "Sounds of the Season" event on Friday December 5.
