During a Senate hearing on November 15, 2012, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg discussed the impact of Superstorm Sandy on New Jersey's beaches and water infrastructure, and pushed for a federal investment in beaches and infrastructure needed to rebuild New Jersey and other impacted areas.
Senator Lautenberg called for all Senators to work together to make the necessary federal improvements, and applauded New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for working with President Obama in the aftermath of the storm.
