If you visit Mt Carmel Cemetery go take a look at the "haunted" Julia Buccola monument. Legend has it a ghostly figure, a woman in a wedding dress, appears near the monument and moves throughout the area. The legend comes from the woman who rests here. She died very young and after the funeral, her mother began to have vivid dreams. Mother became convinced that her daughter had been buried alive. After some years, Mom had the casket exhumed. When the box was brought to the surface the wood was in bad condition, however Julia's body was in perfect condition. Mother then had the body photographed, and satisfied her kid was dead, had the remains placed back into the grave. There are two photos attached to the monument. One is Julia alive in her wedding dress, the other is of the body after the exhumation. This spot has gained some reputation of being haunted but I want to caution visitors that respect for the resting place is demanded by cemetery authorities.
