Modo Modeling Tutorial - How to create a Telescope

In this video we’re going to be modelling a old-style telescope using simple techniques in modo. The methods used could easily be translated into other 3D applications though, such as 3ds Max, Maya, and so on. We’re basing it on only a few tools, like Bevel, Add Loop, Loop Slice and Bridge.

SHORTCUTS

Bevel (B)
Loop Slice (ALT + C)
Automatic Action Center (ALT + S)
Local Action Center (ALT + X)
Element Action Center (ALT +Z)
Display Pie Menu (CTRL + 1)
Change components (SPACEBAR)
Viewport Display Properties (0 – the letter, not the number)
Full-Screen (0 – zero)
