LOS ANGELES, Cali. (WKRC) -- Federal agents have charged several current and former sheriff s deputies in Los Angeles, California. At least 18 have been indicted in a federal probe into inmate abuse and corruption in the nation's largest jail system. The deputies are also accused of trying to derail the investigation. The Los Angeles County Corrections System has been under federal scrutiny for more than two years following a string of lawsuits accusing deputies of targeting and abusing inmates.
