Washington, D.C. --Representative David Price (D-NC) gave remarks in the House of Representatives today, urging Republican leaders to pass a bill funding all of the Department of Homeland Security as a part of a resolution to open the entire government. The narrow bill put forward by Republicans only funds the Department's border security functions, leaving the U.S. Secret Service, the Transportation Security Administration, the National Protection and Programs Directorate, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the Federal Protective Service, the Office of Health Affairs, the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, Analysis and Operations (intelligence), the Office of the Inspector General, and research and development programs, unfunded.
