I used a relatively simple criteria for choosing games to include in this montage. I picked games featured at E3 2014 which either do not have a female protagonist option or did not include any playable female characters in trailers or gameplay demos at the expo. So for example the developer of Sunset Overdrive has said that players will be able to pick a female character but that option was missing from their E3 trailers, demos and released gameplay footage. Games like Evolve, Destiny and Fable Legends on the other hand did highlight playable female options in their promotional materials alongside the male options so I left those games out of the remix. I also didn't include the plethora of indie, "casual" or cartoony titles starring men. For those interested I counted only 4 major games with exclusively female leads. Those being Mirrors Edge 2, Tomb Raider 2, Alien Isolation and the hyper-sexualized Bayonetta 2. (4 1/2 if you count the Second Son DLC announcement).
