Raffles Institution (Junior College) Performed Penjara Cinta for Singapore Dance Week Showcase 2010.
This dance captures the inner most feelings of one's heart. The bamboos being used are symbolic of this frison of repression. The tongue which is so reluctant to the voice of those feelings inflicts suffering upon the soul. The lips which are unable to utter that which is locked deeply in the heart causes desire to burn. Only by freeing ownself from the prison of love can one truly come clean with one's deepest feelings.
This Programme is brought to you by World Dance Alliance Singapore with the support of National Arts Council.
