This is an animation of the data from a molecular dynamics simulation of a CuZr metallic glass under hydrostatic loading. Cavitation results, here located near the box edge. Note that the simulation cell is subject to periodic boundary conditions, so only one cavitation event occurs during this simulation. Further details can be found at:
