Randy Cassingham discussing the True Stella Awards (for the most frivolous lawsuits of the year) on Sept. 5, 2003. The show is DAYSIDE with Linda Vester, which no longer airs.
The best part is toward the end, where I contradict Judge Andrew Napolitano's claim that frivolous lawsuits "started with" the classic urban legend, "Poodle in the Microwave" -- which had been debunked many, many times previous to that date. And here I thought Stella Liebeck vs. McDonald's, the classic "spilled coffee" lawsuit, would be considered the start! At least, the start of public awareness.
